HPCSA is the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
In order to protect the public and guide the professions, council ensures that practitioners uphold and maintain professional and ethical standards within the health professions and ensure the investigation of complaints concerning practitioners and to ensure that disciplinary action is taken against persons who fail to act accordingly.
The Council for Medical Schemes is a statutory body established by the Medical Schemes Act (131 of 1998) to provide regulatory supervision of private health financing through medical schemes.
PAIA is overseen by the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC), a body that protects, promotes and monitors the observance of human rights in South Africa. The SAHRC stands for and ensures the upholding of human rights, dignity and equality.
The PPS Foundation was established in 2016 primarily to improve access to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields and contribute measurably to the sustainable development of South African communities, through PPS’s ethos of mutuality and shared success.
